Memory-Efficient Longest Flow Path (MELFP) algorithm released under GPL-3
A new OpenMP parallel algorithm for Memory-Efficient Longest Flow Path (MELFP) computation is just released under GPL-3 at https://github.com/HuidaeCho/melfp. Compared to the OpenMP benchmark algorithm, MELFP achieved a 66% reduction in computation time utilizing 79% less peak memory. Its GRASS addon will be available soon!

Took a field trip to Ciudad Juárez as part of the Transboundary Aquifer Assessment Program (TAAP)
As part of the Transboundary Aquifer Assessment Program (TAAP), Abdullah and I took a field trip to Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, to visit the facilities of the Junta Municipal de Agua y Saneamiento de Juárez (JMAS). Read more about it here.

CLAWRIM presented at 2024 American Geophysical Union (AGU24) Annual Meeting
Abdullah Azzam, a PhD student, S.M. Asaduzzaman Reshad, a Master’s student, and I presented our projects at AGU24. I presented two posters. Abdullah talked about his VIC-MODFLOW modeling. Asad presented his state-scale culvert capacity analysis. Researchers from North Carolina State University (NCSU) showcased GRASS GIS. Finally, I reconnected with Dr. Rakesh Teja Konduru.
